The curriculum of the school comprises all the opportunities for learning which the child encounters during the school day. Our expectations are high and we hope that by ensuring each child becomes an independent learner, they are able to achieve their full academic potential.
The curriculum is designed to help pupils acquire the essential skills of literacy and numeracy so that they become fluent in the use of spoken language, in reading and in writing, and that they become increasingly competent in the understanding and application of Mathematics.
All the learning which takes place in school is dependent on the four inter-related skills of talking, listening, reading and writing.
The children follow the National Curriculum which comprises:-
- Information Communication Technology
- Design Technology
- Physical Education
In addition to this the school follows the Norfolk Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education. Parents who do not what their child to take part in Religious Education lessons or in collective acts of worship should express their wishes in writing to the Headteacher.
